Patient Involvement Interventions

We carry out research to find evidence for the design, evaluation and implementation of complex interventions supporting patient involvement in healthcare. We collaborate with health professionals, patients, research methodologists, social scientists, and health-related organisations on the following types of patient involvement intervention research:

• Patient decision aid, decision coaching and shared decision making interventions
• Patient reported outcome measures, patient-centred communication and self-management support interventions
• Patients-as-partners in the research process about patient involvement intervention design, implementation and evaluation
