Erik Boye is a retired professor, still partly active at the Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital and at the University of Oslo. His work has been mostly on the molecular mechanisms regulating growth a proliferation of cells, from bacteria via yeast to human cells. Erik is a molecular biologist who has in recent years been engaged in antidoping work, in particular in cases where the application of scientific method, standards and ethics appear to be limited. He is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters as well as the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO).
