Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing, Kingston University
Andrea is a Research Professor in public health with her work spanning across disciplines allied to medicine and psychology with a strong experimental and quantitative focus. Andrea’s research is centred on behavioural choices where short term gains are traded off for potential health consequences later in life, such as drug use, doping, restricted eating or non-adherence to prescribed medication and treatment. She is internationally recognised for her multidisciplinary research into chemically assisted performance enhancing practices among athletes. A distinct strand of her research portfolio focuses on methodological issues, including social network analysis, response bias in self-reports, group-level estimations and indirect psychological measures.
