Elena Atienza is currently writing her PhD thesis, directed by Prof. Dr. Carlos María Romeo Casabona, concerning the legal implications in the treatment of biological samples and personal data for doping control purposes in the sport sector.

Besides this field of research, the study of Health Law is also a core focus area for Elena Atienza’s current investigations: indeed, she has dealt with this topic at several international seminars and congresses and also as a member in many research projects.
