Applied Public Health

Organisation of the health care system is important as is health literacy as the foundation for individual action. Population mental health is an area of major concern. Special attention must be paid to conditions specific for developing countries.

Clinical Public Health

Most of the Danish population is in regular contact with their general practitioners, and many are referred to hospitals needing optimal care, optimal communication, the possibility of active treatment involvement, and potentially subsequent rehabilitation.

Epidemiology, Environment and Biostatistics

We examine how genetics, lifestyle and environmental and occupational exposures influence health across the life course and generations. And we develop biostatistical methods and tools to analyse complex health data.

Sport Science

Sport and physical activity matter not only for health but also as cultural phenomena. We study them across natural and human sciences to understand physiology and the social and cultural contexts shaping health and body culture.
