Howard Jacobs is one of the world's leading sports lawyers. He has represented around 300 clients over a 20 year period. His involvement with anti-doping cases includes representing, among others, Mark Dry, Maria Sharapova, Jon Jones, Brock Lesnar, Veronica Campbell Brown, Yulia Efimova, Floyd Landis and Marion Jones. In this podcast he discusses the implications of the World Anti-Doping Code for athletes, cases where the outcomes have been unfair, the Articles of the Code which relate to inadvertent violations, and potential changes that could be made to protect athletes' rights.
